Pringle Bay

About an hour’s drive from the City of Cape Town, South Africa, lies a beautiful place nestled into the coastline. The weather is temperate, the skies are forever changing and it is a kaleidoscope of colour, from Sunrise to Sunset.

If you dare to blink, you are running the risk of missing a dramatic change in cloud formation. It is a photographer’s dream. Everywhere you aim your camera awaits a photograph. People without cameras are encouraged to view the scenery as if they were taking photographs as it is far too magical to miss.

While my visits are now tinged with a hint of sadness, this little bay is just too enchanting not to share. There are now about a 1000 houses so I am told but it does seem less. Cosy is the key. Let’s pray it stays that way!

Most houses are family owned holiday homes so unless you are there during peak season it is my kind of peace, quiet, and reflective solitude.

I still intend to get used to living with the ocean as my boundary delineation. This was just a taste of the future…

Here are my photographs of my two trips to Pringle Bay!
