Bud & Terence
What a duo! Bud Spencer and Terence Hill! They were such silly spaghetti westerns and especially when dubbed over into English. The other night I was on my way to bed when I caught the beginning of “Double Trouble”.
It starts off with Bud Spencer playing a jazzy piece on a sax. What was so amusing was not the odd looking rural hall like club setting but Bud Spencer himself. He posed the stiff, dull lead.
One could clearly see that the support band knew a thing or two about actually playing or were at least putting on a good pretence. Bud on the other hand looked like someone who had never even held a saxophone before.
Now we all know that these were ultra low budget movies bud surely someone could have told him to move his fingers to pretend he was actually making the notes emanating from the soundtrack? I guess all these silly things is what made the duo so amusing.
According to online information Bud went into politics in 2005. I guess his acting background came in handy after all! Terence is still acting it seems. There seems to be no stopping these two.
