Petrol or Cyber?
I sometimes sit and think to myself that as human beings we are often quite silly. We yearn to socialise but instead sit on the internet, the telephone, blackberry, blueberries, Mxit, Faxit, and ignorit! Yes, I do have facebook open as surely as I write this! Send me a message and take me to dinner!
The price of petrol is ever escalating although according to gossip, printer ink and bottled water may be even pricier per ml. I don’t know if anyone else has calculated the price of ink in printer cartridges but it is insane! It costs more than Dom Perignon? Then we throw away all that plastic for a mere 18ml of black gold!
I just think that as ridiculous as the cost of petrol is these days, we would probably save a fortune on text messaging and bandwidth if we just got in the car or public transport and simply had a real conversation with a possibly real human being.
Who knows what can happen when two likeminded human beings get together in the flesh!
