This is a tour of a Table Mountain Hike, Cape Town. Travel all the way from Platteklip Gorge to the opposite side for views as far as False Bay, Muizenberg, and Hout Bay. The usual Table Mountain view from the top is always the same, so watch this video for a new perspective.

Table Mountain is one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. It’s a tourist destination, but few ever cross the Platteklip Gorge trail to continue across the top – which is surprisingly flat – to gaze upon the Table Mountain dams to the east.

There are the Table Mountain Dassies, bird-life, and an unusual amount of insect life one kilometre up in the sky. I encourage everyone to travel across the top of Table Mountain, and to pause on its many Ledges to contemplate life.

The further you walk, the quieter it gets. It’s as close to heaven as one can get.
